2018 Rugby Sevens World Cup - Published: 09/10/2018

Ultrahealth was the official physical therapy provider for the first ever Rugby Sevens World Cup held in the United States. The July 20-22, 2018 tournament at San Francisco's AT&T Park featured the world's top 24 men's and 16 women's teams. Both the men's and women's New Zealand All Blacks came in first place.

The United States women lost to tournament winner New Zealand in a very close semi-final match, and just missed bronze by losing to Olympic Champion Australia. The United States men lost to England in a very close quarter-final game. AT&T was totally rocking! England went on to play New Zealand in the finals. These were the best-ever finishes for both the USA women's and men's teams in a World Cup tournament.

The athleticism, conditioning and skill level of all the athletes was incredible. If you've never seen a rugby sevens match, put it on your bucket list.

Ultrahealth was proud to contribute to one of the best Rugby Sevens World Cups ever held.

2018 Dipsea - Published: 09/09/2018

On June 10 2018, for the second year in a row, Ultrahealth patients CHRIS LUNDY and ALEX VARNER finished 1,2 in the annual Dipsea Race. Chris became only the fourth female in the 108 year history of the race to win back-to-back titles. Alex posted the best overall time an 8th time, tying an 18-year old record.

The grueling 7.4-mile Dipsea Race follows trails from Mill Valley to Stinson Beach. It is the second oldest race in the United States, behind only the Boston Marathon, and also one of the most prestigious. The Dipsea is handicapped by age, gender and previous performances: Alex started 10 minutes behind Chris.

Chris spent much of 2017 at Ultrahealth rehabbing a surgically repaired ACL (knee) before she could start training for this year's race in late 2017. She then proceeded to best last year's time by 2:32. Alex was at Ultrahealth rehabbing an Achilles injury up until 3 months before the race. He then proceeded to best last year's time by 1:40.

Both Chris and Alex were patients at Ultrahealth prior to last year's race as well, Chris for a torn hamstring and Alex for back and hip injuries.

Congratulations to two incredible athletes!
